Wes Ratliff is a Northern California - based Jewelry Artisan who got his start in the Jewelry world in Japan. His first mediums of work were primarily Macrame and Beading, followed by Enameling and later Kiln work. Currently his favorite medium is Fused Glass. In the Studio, Layers of Dichroic Glass, Precious Metals, 90 COE Glass and other materials are carefully placed in a Kiln and fired at 1500F, slow annealed and crafted with diamond bit equipment. After this process, pieces are fired again to produce a smooth finish. Wes is featured in shops along the West Coast and recently a few new shops on the East Coast. He continues to push the limits and boundaries of Fused Glass, finding new mediums to use in combination with existing ones. We hope you enjoy Wes's pieces as much as we do. |
